Top 5 Tricks to win Chinese Checkers Game

Chinese Checkers is a game founded by an American professor named Dr. George Monks. He got this idea after reading an English game called Hoppity. His enthrallment towards the game ultimately led to the invention of the game. Apart from Dr. George Monks, a major contribution was also made by Dr. Thomas Hill. Hence the game was first launched by E.I Horsman Company in 1885.
Chinese checkers is much similar to the checkers and chess as it includes the jumping movement style of checkers and demands planning and strategy of chess. However the strategy is bit different as the goal of the Chinese checkers is to move your pieces to the other side of the board. A maximum of six players can enjoy this game. Basically, every player is given 10 game pieces, but some variants allow up to 15 pieces per player. In order to win the game, the player is allowed to jump over opponent’s pieces and block their paths.....

Following are few tips that can help you to succeed in this game:
  1. Make a good opening move:
A good opening move is when you move one of the two end marbles in your triangle, inside the board. Be focused to keep your marbles at the centre during the game play so that they do not become marooned.
  1. Block Your Rival:
One of the best things to do to win the game is to block the opponent. Watch out their every movement or jump pieces as often as possible. Else you can stand a pieces’ movement to block an opponent’s piece. This proves to be an effective way to frustrate your opponent and provides you an edge.
  1. Ensure marbles are moving in a group:
If you move your marbles in a group, it will offer you more jumping opportunities. So always make sure your marbles are moving together as groups. If they are left behind they consume much time to recoup.
  1. Con your opponent:
You can also trap your opponent if he let you move further by offering you something to jump over. It is good if you trap your opponent marble close to the territory so when he moves he will have long ways to go.
  1. Use Home Strategies:
Keep your marbles in your home triangle only. This will prevent your opponent from victory. However, make sure you use this strategy only if you present in cahoots with other player.
Chinese checkers is certainly a wonderful game for family gatherings. It can also be played on a picnic with friends. Its simple rules make this game more enjoyable for all age groups. It provides great hours of entertainment and often challenges the player to make quick moves by using different tactics.
