Honda v4
Honda has just pulled the covers off a radical new concept motorcycle at the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany. Technically, there isn't much here that's real, but there's still plenty to dissect. Honda is obviously feverishly working on a new V4 engine and that will soon show up in a production bike. Rumor has it that the Japanese company is taking another look at oval pistons, which would allow for more valves and larger combustion chambers. Could this powerplant show up in a new Interceptor? While this is currently nothing more than a sculpture, so was the new VMax when Yamaha first showed that concept. Studying the lines a bit, we can tell that this wouldn't likely be a race bike, but more likely a new street-going model. We also see hubless wheels, which would be an extremely far-out bit of tech if they were to make it into production. Is that possible? According to Honda, yes. Big Red is saying this design is a "new beginning" for the company and the direction that it's headed, and that sounds awfully exciting. We'll be watching. 06 more images after the break...

HMK 561
Most of the conceptual electric bike is hardly so much innovation devaysa - think of it, the battery compartment so the system produce energy during braking. But HMK 561 - no match for them. Cyclists HMK 561 is made of carbon fiber, which not only is an excellent conductor of electricity, but also acts as a capacitor that can store energy. This energy is obtained by converting the mechanical energy into electrical energy in each mobile connection mechanism. The resulting current is fed to the engine and headlamps. Above all, there is already a working prototype. 07 more images after the break...

Motorcycle designed by Wayne Rooney
Back in 2012, Manchester United star Wayne Rooney teamed up with exquisite Danish bike builder Lauge Jensen for a custom project to be auctioned for charity. This unique machine went under the hammer at Bonhams and fetched a hefty $66,000 (more than €50,000), with all the proceeds being donated to KidsAid, a Danish foundation helping ill children. Designed by Wayne Rooney, the Lauge Jensen bike has a truly unique feature we just don't stumble upon very often. An autographed “No 10” football shirt has been mounted on the fuel tank and the lacquer-sealed in place. Other nifty custom additions are the airbrushed rear fender depicting Wayne after his “Best Goal” of the season, autograph-embroidered seat and a special WR 10 shifter rod with 21 black diamonds and a white one. 09 more images after the break...
